What is the Energy Engage Code?
The Energy Engage Code is a commitment from SSE Airtricity and other energy suppliers to support customers who are concerned about paying their energy bills or who have fallen behind on payments.
What the aim Code aims to do
We want to make it easier for you to
- talk to us if you’re concerned about your bills
- understand how we assess your situation
- learn about the supports that may be available to you
This helps you:
- manage your payments
- avoid falling into arrears
- avoid disconnection of your energy supply
How we'll work with you
When you engage with us, we'll work with you to:
- agree a manageable payment plan, or
- arrange for a Pay As You Go (PAYG) meter installed if that suits your needs
Our five key promises
The Code sets out five clear promises you can expect when we get in touch. These include how we'll support you, how we'll communicate with you and what additional help may be available.
