SSE Airtricity is proud to partner with National Geographic to bring the iconic Planet or Plastic? – a provocative and inspirational story of plastic and our planet – to Ireland for the very first time. It’s part of Sick of Plastic, a major campaign from Friends of the Earth and VOICE Ireland that enables us all to take tangible actions to reduce the threat of plastics to our planet’s future.
Through powerful imagery, Planet or Plastic? makes the important case for the need to find a balance between using this material and protecting our environment. Additionally, the exhibition provides actionable steps visitors can take in their lives to responsibly reduce, reuse, recycle, and refuse products with single-use plastic.
SSE Airtricity is also a Principal Partner of the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, the crucial gathering of world leaders to address the impact of climate change on our planet. We believe the Planet or Plastic? exhibition will continue our work to inspire an even more positive reaction to protect our beautiful planet.
Planet or Plastic? opens at Hamilton Dock on the Maritime Mile, Belfast, on 4 September before moving to Dublin with the family friendly exhibition free of charge.
- Maritime Mile, Belfast – 4 September to 28 September
- Harbour Plaza, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin – 13 October to 12 November
